US won’t sanction India over S-400 deal with Russia just buy American F-16s

According to reports, Washington has "informally" informed India that it may avoid US sanctions against the Russian S-400 missile system. But this comes with the term that New Delhi should buy American F-16 fighter jets.
The Indian Express newspaper quoted US officials as saying that the United States offered in early October its offers to India. The move came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin signed a $ 5.4 billion deal to buy five Russian S-400 systems.
Washington has decided to use the Russian military to increase its army, and Washington has threatened India to impose sanctions under the US Anti-Sanctions Act (CAATSA). But if the New Delhi Green Light buys an F-16, it can get an exemption.

Earlier, the Air Force of India launched a request for information (requiring information) to purchase 114 fighters during the competitive bidding process, with an F-16 and F-18 aircraft among the options considered. But the newspaper said that the Indian authorities have so far refused to ensure Washington's access to US aircraft. It is clear that the Indian army is skeptical of the F-16 flight because of its use by rivals in neighboring Pakistan.

US fighters will not interfere with homemade BrahMos rockets that were jointly developed by India and Russia. In addition to these concerns, Donald Trump must reach a very good agreement with Delhi to make the sanctions more favorable, because "both support US State Department officials to tell IE that the corridors are" right "against Russia.

It is now clear that India has an option, either to reduce its dependence on Russian weapons or to cooperate with the United States on other issues of vital importance to US national interests in order to be more acceptable when deciding what it needs. According to C.A.A.T.S.A, when Delhi pays S-400 air defense system to Russia, sanctions will be imposed on India, which is expected to be implemented at the end of the fiscal year.

Trump said New Delhi "will be faster than you think" to find an answer to "the severity of possible constraints."

But India was reluctant to yield to US pressure. Indian army chief Ping Lafat said earlier that although sanctions could be imposed, "we are pursuing an independent policy.

Prime Minister Mudi said on Monday his government was making a "big and bold" decision to defend the country and vowed that "anyone who poses a threat to Indian sovereignty will receive a double-power response."

Germany and Moscow have large-scale military cooperation plans, with India reportedly aiming to purchase Russian T-14 Armata tanks and rocket-propelled grenades. The state is also considering developing submarines and next-generation fighter jets with Russian partners.
