How You Can Search Batter and Get Good Results
This is an old but very important: Place quotation marks around the terms to look for together. If you’re quoting “electric curtains,” Google will not waste time searching for a bunch of web pages that contain the word “electric” and another set that contains the word “curtains.”
Place a hyphen before any word you want to delete. If you are looking for dolphins, for example, travel a million pages of Miami Dolphins unless you are looking for “dolphins - Miami”.
Google is white pages and white pages. Search for “Agenda: home depot Nor-walk, act,” Google produces the Nor-walk Home Depot address and phone number. This works with names (“Phone Directory: Robert Jones Las Vegas, NV”) and with companies.
Google is a calculator. Type an equation (“23+ 2345 * 3-34 =”). Google is a stock index. Enter A.A.P.L or M.S.F.T, for example, to see a link to the current Apple or Microsoft stock price, charts, financial news, and so on. Google is the Atlas. Enter an area code, such as 212, to see the MapQuest map for the area.
Google is a Walt-Mart device. Enter the UPC bar code number, such as “36,000,250,015”, to see only the description of the product you ‘checked’. Type a flight number such as “United 22” to get a map link for that flight. Or type the queue number you see on the plane for the full registration form for that level.
Google is the auto section. Type the car identification number (car identification number, engraved on the plate, on the door frame, for each car), such as “JH4NA1157MT001832”, to see the year, make and model car.
